Tina felt a little sad. She didn’t want to scare her friends. She tried a tiny roar. “roar?” But it felt like a whisper, not a ROAR.

One sunny afternoon, while they were playing near the river, they heard a scary sound. SNAP! It was a grumpy crocodile, and he was not happy to share his sunny spot.

The crocodile slithered closer. Chhaya scrambled up the tallest tree, and Rumduol flew to the highest branch. Bora backed away, his big eyes wide with worry.

Tina looked at her frightened friends. She thought about how much she loved playing with them. A warm, brave feeling filled her chest.

She took a deep breath and let out the biggest ROAR she had ever roared. But this one was different. It wasn’t just loud; it was strong and protective. “ROOOOAR!”

The grumpy crocodile was so surprised! He slid back into the water with a SPLASH and swam away as fast as he could.

Chhaya, Rumduol, and Bora cheered! “You saved us, Tina!” they shouted. Tina learned that when her roar was filled with thankfulness for her friends, it wasn’t scary at all. It was a thankful roar, the best kind of roar to have.
