In the lush Hemavann forest lived a small squirrel named Krouch. Krouch had bright orange fur and a tail as big as his body. Krouch always wore a small straw hat and carried a backpack made of fruit peel.

As the windy season approached, Krouch knew it was time to gather grains. He meticulously planned how to fill his storehouse before the weather changed.

While harvesting, Krouch met a rabbit named Khjeul (Lazy). Khjeul was resting under the shade and mocking Krouch. “Oh, Krouch! Take some time to enjoy yourself! Winter is still so far away!”

Krouch replied with a smile: “We never know how quickly the cold season might arrive. Preparation is the key to success!” Then Krouch continued working quickly.

Day after day, Krouch used his prepared system. He labeled the grain boxes and counted them accurately. His storehouse began to become a perfect storage facility.

One week later, everything changed suddenly. The wind blew fiercely and the sky grew dark. The cold season arrived prematurely, before the other animals were ready.

Khjeul the rabbit and the other negligent animals were now in a panic. They ran looking for food, but most trees had already dropped their fruit. They were cold and hungry.

Krouch, however, was safe in his “magical storehouse.” This storehouse wasn’t magical by spell, but it was magical through hard work and careful planning. He had enough food and warmth.

Because Krouch was a kind squirrel, he invited the other animals to take shelter and shared some of his grains. He explained: “If you want a magical storehouse, you must work hard when you have the chance!”

From that day forward, all the animals in the forest learned an important lesson from Krouch the squirrel. They knew that diligence and planning ahead were the real magic that led to peace and happiness.
